GUARDIAN OF TIME

He cannot stop the hands of the clock. He cannot turn seconds back. But he keeps watch.
His mouth is sewn shut.

As if he knows that time cannot truly be spoken of or directly seen — that its secret resists language.
And yet, at the center, a heart entwined with a clock.
Biology and temporality beating in the same rhythm. Every pulse a decision. Every tick a choice: to live — or merely to wait.
The scissors in his hand are not a threat. They are awareness.
They recall ancient myths in which fate could be cut with a single motion. But this is not about power over death. It is about responsibility for life.
The guardian protects something he cannot fully control.
This is the paradox of existence.
We cannot stop time.
We can only give it meaning.
The image carries a deeply existential tone — echoing the thought of Martin Heidegger, who saw in the awareness of death not paralysis, but a call to authentic living. It also resonates with the creative imperative of Friedrich Nietzsche — if time is finite, then it is our task to shape it with our actions.
